You will have treasure in heaven (September 5, 2020)

Matthew 19:21 Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.

Life application: Doing good to the needy is lending to God and investing in heaven. In this verse, we can realise that Heaven is not going to be as we think it might be, where all the people there are like robots doing the same thing over and over, we will be wrong to think that way. The Lord is talking about having treasure in heaven which means some people may not have treasure if they did not invest while being on earth.The Egyptian Pharaons were buried with their treasure thinking that they can bring them into eternity; in Chinese culture people burn paper money thinking that the loved ones who passed away may use it in the kingdom of the dead (Eternity);as you can see people believe that there is maybe a need of having treasure in Eternity, The Lord made it clear how this can be done and also you have to be a believer to have that access. Now it is time to become intentional of doing good or the works of righteousness, knowing that it is not in vain though people may not be grateful for what you are doing, know that God is watching and He wll surely reward you in this life and in the life to come. Do not be tired of doing good, you will have treasure in Heaven. How to pray through: 1. Thank The Heavenly Father for life, good health, revelation of His word. And acknowledge that He is the source of your life.

2. Praise and thank The Lord for making a way for you to have treasure in Heaven.

3. Tell The Lord that you want to become intentional in doing the works of righteousness. And ask to continue to reveal His love through your life.

4. Thank The Lord for working the good works of Hs Kingdom through you.
