Whoever exalts himself will be humbled (September 1,2020)

Luke 18:14 I tell you this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Life application: It is easy to think that you are better than others because they are lazy or you are just smarter than anyone of them. Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven because he wanted to exalt himself, and he has fallen from the glory that has been given to him by The Most High God. we are living in a society where the pride and arrogant are admired because of what they have done. One sentence caused Nebuchadnestar king of Babylon to loose his trone for 7 years, he said Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?(Daniel 4:30). There are many examples like that in the Bible. Remember this, only God can exalt and whoever who exalt himself will be brought low and humbled by God. How to pray through: 1. Thank The Heavenly Father for life, good health, revelation of His word. And acknowledge that He is the source of your life.

2. If it’s happened that you always exalt yourself and take credit for your accomplishments, repent and ask The Lord to forgive you.

3. It is not late to surrender to God and let Him be the One who will exalt you in due time. Surrender your careers or academics or ministry to God and Tell Him that you are waiting on Him.

4. Thank The Lord for His mercies that He didn’t punish you when you acted rebelliously by exalting yourself.
