Called by grace for His own purpose (August 15, 2020)

2 Timothy 1:9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not because of our own works, but by His own purpose and by the grace He granted us in Christ Jesus before time eternal.

Life application:

Many people feel unworthy to serve The Lord; specially if your past was full of wrong decisions. But when God saves us, He saves us for a specific purpose that He want us to fulfill. This purpose was established in Christ Jesus before we were even born. Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the first step into fulfilling your calling; God calls the unqualified and equip them for the work He has already determined for them to fulfill. We are not living to satisfy ourselves, which means that your life belong to God not to you, you do not own your life. Every day, The Lord renew His confidence in us by giving us the breath of life until our mission is finished. Fulfilling God's purpose is always challenging but He sent us a Helper (The Holy Spirit) to help us fulfill it according to His Will (The Word of God). It is true that you are not worthy to fulfill your calling, but remember it is The Holy Spirit who will fulfill it through you; so your part is to avail yourself and be obedient to the leading of The Holy spirit.

How to pray through:

1. Thank The Heavenly Father for life, good health, revelation of His word. And acknowledge that He is the source of your life.

2. Thank The Lord for giving you an opportunity to serve Him despite your past failures.

3. Ask The Lord Holy Spirit to help you fulfill the purpose of God through your life.

4. Ask The Lord Holy Spirit (The Teacher) to teach you the ways of God and to instill in you the fear of The Lord.

5. Thank The Lord for giving a meaning to your life and giving you an opportunity to impact the eternity by His earthly actions through you.
